Parenting During Coronavirus

Video Transcript:

Hi, My name is Jackie and we all know that being a parent is one of the hardest jobs in the world. These days it’s harder because not only do you have to be a parent, but you’re a teacher now, and you’re a person that plans activities for your kids. A lot of times kids get all wrapped up in computers, talking to their friends and being on instagram and facebook and all that. They really don’t have time to sit down and have a conversation with their parents or even siblings. So during this time of the coronavirus don’t let us do the social distancing when it comes to our kids. Let’s talk to them. Let’s share our feelings with them. If you’re scared about what’s going on talk about that as well. This is the time to get reacquainted with each other and get to know what each other’s plans are, and actually find out what your child is interested in and they can find out what you’re interested in and what you do for a living. So you can play games together, have dinner together, and actually have conversations. You can also go outside and play ball or something to get the family motivated to be together. You can grow closer. Don’t let this be the same normal. Let this be your new normal and keep it up when this is all over. Thank you. Have a good day.
